After a fantastic showing in the Copa America Centenario, American centre-back John Brooks is reportedly drawing interest from Manchester City.
According to reports, Manchester City are interested in acquiring the 23-year-old from Hertha Berlin. Brooks has been a stand-out performer at the Copa America with the US National Team which has solidified his status as the real deal.
Born to an American serviceman and a German mother, Brooks was raised in Berlin and came through the Hertha BSC youth system. Always a promising talent, Brooks ignored interest from Munich to sign a new deal with Hertha, and has been a mainstay in their defense for most of the 2015/16 season.
City are not the only English side interested in the American, with several other clubs in the mix. Good defenders are always a hot commodity, and although he has pledged loyalty to his childhood club, a move could happen in the near future.
