Manchester United are closing in on a lucrative deal to bring former Red Devil midfielder, Paul Pogba back to the club.
Manchester United are reportedly closing on a phenomenal £89m transfer to bring Juventus midfielder, Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford.
The 23-year-old left the Manchester club in 2012 for just £1.5m to join Italian giants Juventus. The French midfielder has excelled in Serie A and now United boss, Jose Mourinho looks to have waved his magic wand in the right direction as Pogba looks set to re-join the Premier League club.
Speaking prior his sides 2-1 victory over Leicester City in the Community Shield yesterday, Mourinho revealed that Pogba was due to undergo a medical at Old Trafford this week.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Mourinho said, “We have everything to give him and we know the reasons why he wants to come to us. He comes because he knows the club, knows the city, many of the players and wants to be an important part of the project. He added, “If you want to be the best player in the world, if you go to Barcelona or Real Madrid you are in trouble because I don’t think the other two big guys [Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo] will let you.”
As Pogba’s imminent arrival draws ever closer, Manchester United fans will be delighted with the work of their new manager so far this season. Despite a campaign without Champions League football, it seems that United still possess the power to attract the worlds best talent.
