After a turbulent last year at the Etihad, Samir Nasri swaps the Premier League for La Liga.
A deal that will surprise few, Samir Nasri has been on the periphery of Manchester City’s squad for the last season and with the ever-increasing talent around him, the Frenchman has booked his ticket abroad.
This loan switch to Sevilla will allow him to get some consistent game time and show his class which was so often on display during his time with Arsenal. Guardiola called into question Nasri’s fitness with comments over the 29-year-old’s fitness in which he was dubbed ‘over weight’. All of this fueled the pressure and media scrutiny on him, a move away looking the only viable option.
On his departure, the midfielder had this message for the club and it’s fans:
@ManCity it's been a pleassure thanks to everyone in the club and the fans for the 5 amazing years and wish you best of luck for the season

Since pre-season and the acquisition of Pep, the midfielder was always in out-of-favour has struggled to re-capture the form that saw him join the Citizens back in 2011, for a reported fee of £25 million.
He will be back remember. hopefully from his point of view with many goals and assists under his belt from his time in La Liga. Maybe with a ‘sleeker physique’ too to really silence the critics.
