Chelsea & Arsenal are eyeing up a move for the so called, “new Ronaldo”.
With the talk of the January transfer window looming already, it appears that Chelsea & Arsenal have already been head hunting for the window ahead.
According to Bleacher Report, the Premier League duo are keeping a close eye on Benfica superstar, Goncalo Guedes. The 18-year-old has been dubbed as the “new Ronaldo” and has been turning heads in the Portuguese league.
Guedes, 18, oozes class and has often been likened to Real Madrid superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite his youth, the Portuguese star has been pushed into the limelight at Benfica and has already been tipped with a bright future ahead.
With a £42m transfer release clause said to be in his contract, Benfica have evidently seen the potential in the winger and are ready to cash in on any deal that could materialise.
As Chelsea & Arsenal fight each other for the starlet, it’s a reminder that more and more, teams are putting their faith in the younger generation.
In the Bible, 1 Timothy 4:12 says, “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
God has put his faith in youngsters many a time throughout the Bible, so don’t be surprised to see managers placing their faith in the youth teams across the globe.
