£80m Manchester United legend Ronaldo drops this bombshell on former club

Former Manchester United star, Cristiano Ronaldo has dropped this bombshell on his former club.

£80m man, Cristiano Ronaldo has insisted its his “dream” to retire at Real Madrid after speaking to the media. The former Manchester United forward has been linked with a move back to Old Trafford in recent months, but those rumours look to be dead in the water after his recent statements.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 30-year-old said, “My dream is to retire at Real Madrid,” the Portugal international said. “If you take care of yourself you can play until you are 40. I want to keep going for another five or six years. I feel good and useful in Madrid and I want to win here.”

The former United man scored 48 goals in 35 appearances for Madrid in La Liga last season to win the Golden Boot for the third time at Madrid.

Ronaldo who won the coveted PFA Player of the Year award has been on scintillating form since joining the Spanish capital. However, his latest comments will certainly rub salt in the wounds of United fans who had been hoping to see Ronaldo play for their side again before his retirement.

In football, we know that you should “never say never”, who knows what can happen in the future?

Is Ronaldo the best player of all time?
