Arsenal are believed to be holding talks with long-term target, Alexandre Lacazette.
According to reports, Arsenal are currently holding talks with Lyon striker, Alexandre Lacazette over a proposed move to the Emirates this summer. The French forward has been on the Gunners’ radar for some time now, but could they be a step closer to snapping up the 26-year-old?
If Arsenal want to prise Lacazette away from Lyon, then they will have to cough up a whopping £49m and break their club record transfer in doing so.
Lacazette, has an impressive record in Ligue 1 which will certainly whet the appetite of the Arsenal faithful, having scored at the rate of one in every two games in domestic football in France. The Lyon forward can play right across the front three and it could be his versatility that makes him an ideal suitor for Arsene Wenger’s side.
Arsenal have found themselves in a fortunate position as Lacazette was due to move to Atletico Madrid before their transfer embargo was upheld and has since had to reassess his options. The Gunners look to be firmly in the driving seat over the transfer and Lacazette could well be moving to North London this summer.
