11. Joel Ward
It must be said that this is one of the nicest guys in football. Joel Ward is the consummate professional and it’s wonderful to see how he holds himself in and amongst the limelight of being a professional football and also as a child of God. The Palace right-back has been an ever present in the Premier League and it’s easy to see why. A player who breathes consistency on the pitch, Ward, says that it’s down to God’s grace that he is where is he today.
It was a real honour to listen to Joel’s testimony and hear how his family’s faith helped him find the light too. Joel has carried that faith onto the pitch where he is a true ambassador of God in the way he conducts himself and plays the beautiful game.
12. Linvoy Primus
Linvoy is that all-round good guy we all know and love. A passion for football and a zealous attitude towards life, Primus has experienced the highs and lows of professional football which ultimately helped him find Jesus. The Pompey legend has made a mark on many footballers throughout his career by being bold in his faith and sharing it with others.
A wonderful example of a man who is living out his faith with Jesus – Linvoy now works with Christians in Sport who get alongside professional athletes, helping them to be ambassadors of Christ in their sport.
13. Tim Tebow
Tim Tebow – the founder of “Tebowing” – *essentially, a public act of prayer on the field*. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but there’s no denying Tebow’s heart for God. The NFL superstar has a huge following across his social media channels in which he positively shares his experiences with Christ, one of which is his new book – “Shaken”.

A man who is not worried about shying away from other people knowing he is a Christian, Lucas is doing everything he can to tell his story.
